This year marks the 44th edition of GITEX GLOBAL, featuring more than 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from over 180 countries. The event highlights the UAE’s status as a leader in the global digital economy, showcasing the nation’s dedication to fostering international collaboration in technology and innovation.

In his opening address, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed emphasized the importance of international cooperation in driving the development of tech ecosystems. “GITEX GLOBAL holds an esteemed international status, inspiring innovation, technological exploration, and digital transformation across industries,” he stated. “As we welcome the global tech community to the UAE, GITEX GLOBAL 2024 exemplifies the UAE’s commitment to leading the global digital economy.”

Under the theme ‘Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy,’ the event has become a hub for building new connections, launching solutions, and forging cross-continental alliances. Attendees are set to accelerate AI-driven socio-economic transformation globally through collaborative innovation.

The five-day programme kicked off with Tech Investment Day, exploring investment trends that are shaping global wealth. The summit has drawn attention to AI’s potential to add $13 trillion to the global economy by 2030, with strategic partnerships and policies being central to discussions.

AI Everything, another major attraction, is set to host influential global tech leaders and collaborators to discuss AI’s future role across industries. The sessions will explore transformative case studies across government, enterprise, and startups, with an emphasis on the swift adoption of AI-driven technologies.

GITEX GLOBAL also presents the GITEX Editions, connecting top global unicorns such as Axelera, DeepL, Insilico Medicine, and Synthesis AI. This platform aims to accelerate the growth of advanced tech companies. With participants from over 180 countries and a 40% increase in international involvement, GITEX GLOBAL 2024 serves as a launchpad for global collaboration among governments, enterprises, and investors. The event runs alongside Expand North Star, the world’s largest startup and investment show, which takes place at Dubai Harbour until 16 October.
